Articles of Agricultural and Rural Development Advisers' Forum (ARDAF) 
Aims
§1. The aims of the Forum are in relation to agricultural aspects of rural development in developing countries:
- to increase and broaden areas of new knowledge
- to promote utilization and exchange of knowledge
- to exchange information
- to target people interested in research and development.
- to promote collaboration between researchers, consultants
The tasks are implemented through scientific, educational and social arrangements and through collaboration and interaction with foreign institutions and individuals including Danes working in international organizations.

Members

§2. Any person employed in - or otherwise associated with - the field of Agricultural Development in The Third World, are eligible as members.
§3. Entry to the Forum takes place through contact to the chairman or the secretary of the executive committee.

Management
§4. The supreme authority of the Forum is the general meeting. The day to day management is conducted by the executive committee.
The General Meeting (GM)
§5. takes place in connection with the regular workshop and is summoned to each member with statement of the general agenda at least three weeks beforehand. Specific proposals to the agenda shall be forwarded to the chairman of the executive committee at the latest two weeks before the GM. The chairman reports on the activities and the audited accounts are presented at the GM.
The GM is presided by a member of the Forum appointed by the GM. The GM forms a quorum.

The executive committee (EC
§6. ) consisting of five members is elected by the GM. Two members are elected in even years and three members are elected in odd years. Two substitute members and one auditor are elected. The election period is for two years. The EC elects the chairman and the secretary/treasurer for a one year period.
Working groups (WG).
§7. Members can form subject specific working groups which will be registered with the EC for information and coordination. The EC is empowered to form working groups for solving specific problems or undertaking specific tasks.

Resources
§8. The accounting period is from January 1 to December 31. Members pay an annual subscription to the Forum. The subscription rate is fixed by the GM. The EC establish the budget and the treasurer administers the resources.

Dissolution of the Forum
§9. The dissolution of the Forum can only take place after decision at two succeeding GMs of which the last one is summoned after the first one with at least one month's notice. Dissolution requires three fourth majority of the quorum at both AGMs. Decision upon the use of the fortune of the Forum is taken at the last AGM.

The coming into force of the articles
§10. These articles came into force after the decision of the GM the 13th of April 1994. The articles were amended by the decision of the GM the 3rd of April 2002.
